Weekly Recap of SMAIR AI & Robotics Club Activities

We are excited to bring you highlights from this week’s activities at the SMAIR AI & Robotics Club. Our students continue to explore science, technology, and innovation through engaging, hands-on projects that foster creativity and critical thinking.

Project Focus: Water Level Indicator

Students were actively participating in a classroom project, sharing ideas about their innovative water level indicator designs.
Students were actively participating in a classroom project, sharing ideas about their innovative water level indicator designs.

This week, students constructed a Water Level Indicator using practical electronic components.

A homemade water quality tester prototype is demonstrated, featuring a breadboard circuit with LEDs, a battery, and sensors submerged in a bottle of water, developed at a local innovation hub.

Through this project, they were introduced to:

  • Identifying and applying tools such as breadboards, resistors, transistors, LEDs, buzzers, and jumper wires.

  • Learning the purpose and function of each component within an electronic system.

  • Practicing safe handling and connection of electrical components.

  • Understanding and building basic circuit diagrams using real hardware.

Developing troubleshooting skills to fix incomplete or non-functional circuits.

  • Developing troubleshooting skills to fix incomplete or non-functional circuits.

  • Following a step-by-step approach to assemble a working water level indicator.

  • Applying logical thinking to determine wiring paths and current flow.

  • Collaborating in teams to assign roles (e.g., builder, tester, documenter) for project efficiency.

  • Practicing communication and problem-solving during group work.

  • Presenting completed projects with explanations of their design and functionality.

This project was designed to lay the foundation for deeper STEM learning while encouraging teamwork and problem-solving.

What to Expect Moving Forward

We are continuously improving the club experience to ensure every child gains lasting skills and confidence. Here’s what your child will benefit from as part of the SMAIR AI & Robotics Club:

  • Project-Based Learning Aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Students will engage in real-world challenges covering areas such as clean water, education, health, climate action, and more.

  • Strength-Based Grouping: Students will be assigned roles based on their interests and strengths—whether they excel in building, designing, or presenting.

  • Mentorship and Leadership Development: Senior students will occasionally mentor junior ones, encouraging collaboration and leadership.

  • Enhanced Learning Tools: Classes will incorporate interactive content such as videos and thematic resources to support deeper engagement.

Saturday Intensive Classes are now Open!!!!

To deepen your child’s understanding in AI, robotics, and entrepreneurship, we invite you to enroll them in our Saturday Intensive Classes:

Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Day: Every Saturday

Focus: Advanced STEM training, innovation-focused projects, and leadership-building experiences.

This program is ideal for students who are passionate about technology and eager to develop future-ready skills in a structured environment.

Thank you for your continued support as we guide your children to become creators, innovators, and problem-solvers.
